Time to renew your certification?

Renewing your hard-earned credential is simple and takes less than 10 minutes. As part of your renewal, the ethics requirement course or equivalent training must be completed as well as requirements to enter Professional Development Hours (PDH) for all certifications.

Need an extension on your renewal? We offer a 90-day grace period for all certifications, but if additional time is needed, extensions can be granted. Please send extension requests to CertificationRenewal@ampp.org with the subject line ‘Extension Request Needed’.

Certification renewal dependency and professional development

As you prepare for renewal, please visit My Certification Portal to log and manage your work experience and Professional Development Hours (PDH’s) needed. Your work experience and PDH’s will be submitted as part of your renewal application but you can input PDH’s at any time. For PDH’s requirements and information, see our sample training PDH guide, and our PDH how-to videos below.

Why renew your credential?

Renewing your credential maintains your inclusion in the list of active certification holders and only takes a few minutes. Keeping your certification current will avoid reinstatement fees or possible suspension of your certification. Certifications are eligible for renewal beginning 90 days prior to the expiration date.
